Alan Jossul teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. He has taught music in the Comox Valley since the 1990s and earned a diploma in jazz studies from Vancouver Island University in 2001. Alan is an expert in a wide variety of styles including jazz and bluegrass, and he is a founding member of local bands Big Red Truck and The Emily Cars. His lesson rate is $32 per half hour.

Alex has been teaching music for nearly two decades. He received a Bachelors of Music with highest honours in 2012 from Carleton University with a focus in jazz studies. Since then the Ottawa-raised guitarist has played with a who's who of local and national talent in all genres, including Juno-winning artist Kellylee Evans, The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, HILOTRONS, Miguel De Armas, Roddy Ellias, Shawnee Kish, Iskwē, Michael Greilsammer, Petr Cancura, SOCALLED, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Among others, he has opened for Brian Charette, Bernie Worrell, Michael Winograd, Mother Mother, Kevin Drew, and Brian Blade. An up and comer on the world jazz stage, his debut record as a leader, “Alex Moxon Quartet” has received international radio airplay and stellar reviews. He's played with the National Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces as well as touring Broadway musicals Beautiful: The Carole King Story and Mean Girls.
Alex has experience teaching and performing in all major musical styles. He is happy to teach students of all ages and all experience levels. He has a flexible approach to teaching that addresses students' individual needs. He can also prep students for RCM Classical Guitar exams as well as university auditions for jazz studies. Alex teaches at both our Edmonton Highlands and our Edmonton South locations.

Alex emphasizes musicality, each lesson building on the previous ones, and of course, having fun. Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts degree (Major in Music) from Mount Allison University where he took classes on Theory, History, Composition, Analysis, Arranging, Methods and Teaching. He began taking drum lessons at the age of 12 and then took bass and guitar shortly after. He began teaching in 2015 and has been teaching drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, song writing and production techniques all over the maritimes. Ben plays rock, metal, acoustic, fusion and electronica and acts as composer and producer for various musical projects. Jack Dublanica has a BA in Theory and Music History and has been playing the banjo and fiddle for over 30 years. Jordan began his cello training at Cambrian College under the guidance of former NBSO conductor Dr. Metro Kozak. He attended the University of Ottawa music program where he studied with National Arts Centre Orchestra principal cellist Amanda Forsyth and NACO cellist Margaret Munro-Tobolowska. He has done numerous performances in Ottawa both in and outside of the University in addition to teaching stringed instruments, including his first instrument, the guitar. Kyle has studied guitar and music theory since 2008 with Vic Mullen, who also taught him banjo for two years. Kyle has extensive experience as a touring bluegrass musician. In 2012 he was nominated for guitar and banjo player of the year at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards.
Kyle taught for eight years with the Clare Bluegrass Association. He has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2015. Kyle teaches guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin at the Grande Prairie store and his rate is $30 per half-hour.
