Anna has been surrounded by, playing, and performing music since early childhood. She began piano lessons in preschool, began singing in choirs at eight, and picked up the cello at ten, which has since become her primary instrument. She plays cello at an RCM grade 10 level, and piano at an RCM grade 6 level. Anna graduated from the University of Alberta in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts, and recently completed a Master’s of Arts at the University of Toronto in 2025. Having worked with children in a host of educational, care, and musical settings, Anna has a supportive and empathetic teaching approach. She is excited and passionate about making music accessible and live-giving for students of all ages.

Colin studied music at Dalhousie and McGill Universities. In his career as chamber musician and orchestral cellist, Colin has played with L'Orchestre Symphonique de Laval, the Thunder Bay Symphony, the Kingston Symphony as acting principal cellist and soloist, at the Ottawa Valley Chamber Music Festival and 'New Music in New Places', and as guest performer for the Scotia Festival of Music. Colin has recorded for film scores, CBC radio broadcasts, and two CDs produced by New Music North and Gatto Dolce. He was cellist for the critically-acclaimed stage production The Satchmo Suite and is cellist for the duo Gatto Dolce.

Cora Cameron is an emerging artist/composer and honours graduate of Memorial University’s musicology program. Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Cora is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter with a passion for creative exploration of musical styles and improvisational sound. Cora’s experiences have been eclectic, ranging from a variety of performances with orchestral ensembles as a principal cellist (MUN Chamber Orchestra, HRASO, Maritime Conservatory Orchestra, Maritime Conservatory Baroque Ensemble) to choral singing (MUN Festival Choir), musical theatre productions (TaDa, Neptune YPCO, St. Luke’s Community Players), and sharing original works and jazz arrangements as the vocalist of Orchid Duo. With 10+ years of performance experience, Cora is eager to begin her journey in education and go beyond the books with philosophies she has developed in her own studies. She is offering beginner lessons and is eager to meet you! Cora is $30 per half hour lesson.

Ekaterina started playing the cello at the age of 8. She became an award winning cellist at the young age of 14 when her trio won second place at the international chamber competition “Concertino Praga”. Ekaterina began her teaching career a year later when she was 15. Ekaterina completed her Bachelor’s degree in performance and music education from Belarus Academy of Music and Sarajevo Academy of Music, and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in performance and music education from Belarus Academy of Music. She also holds a Teacher Certificate of Recognition from RCM. Along with teaching, Ekaterina has performed with many orchestra’s such as the Belarus Symphony Orchestra, National Concert Orchestra, Sarajevo Symphony, and others. Ekaterina has been living in New Brunswick since 2011 and has been teaching and performing in the Greater Moncton Area ever since. She has taught all ages and levels, and enjoys having her students participate in the Moncton Music Festival. Her rate is $27 per half-hour lesson.

Emma Johnson is a classically trained pianist and cellist with over 20 years of experience. Emma graduated with an Honours in Music from St. Thomas University, where she studied composition, pedagogy, ensemble arrangement, and theory from Martin Kutnowski. Emma's approach to music education is marked by her commitment to fostering a love for classical music and helping her students unlock their musical potential. Emma has taught at Girls Rock Camp, Sistema, & UNB Music Camp and performed for local festivals such as Harvest Jazz, Flourish Fest, and Folly Fest. She currently plays cello with her string quartet Sarabande Strings & Fredericton Symphony Orchestra. Emma’s rate for a half hour private lesson is $27.

Eric Lam has a BMus, majoring in Composition and Theory from the University of Alberta and a Music Diploma from Grant MacEwan University. Eric has taught guitar for over 18+ years and he also teaches flute and cello. Eric teaches various genres of music, his students have consistently received outstanding results on RCM exams and even the golden medal.

As an active musician, composer and music arranger, he plays for various music events and concerts in various cities throughout western Canada. He has arranged/composed music for a radio station, TV program and local artists. In 2005, he attained the Best Music Arrangement Award from the Canadian Chinese Song-Writers Quest. His mission is to guide students to enjoy, discover and increase their musical knowledge. Eric is also fluent in English and Cantonese. Eric offers lessons at our Edmonton Mayfield location.

Eva is an RCM piano program graduate with extensive education in piano, violin, flute, cello, and theory. Obtaining her Bachelors Degree of Music at McMaster University and her ARCT at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Eva has the ability to instruct contemporary and all RCM levels. She has been giving lessons in the Markham area for over 20 years. In addition, Eva performs frequently at various venues for weddings, ceremonies, and festivals of all kinds.

Gabriela has a Master’s Degree in Cello Performance from the University of Ottawa, where she studied cello with Paul Marleyn, as well as an Orchestral Certificate Diploma under David Currie. She has been active as a teacher and performer since 1997 and is also a Certified Suzuki Teacher. Gabriela focuses much of her performing in the classical genre but has also participated in other events such as rock concerts, Video Games Live and recently in the orchestra for “La Machine”. She teaches both Suzuki and RCM methods for violin, viola and cello.

Multi-instrumentalist Gage Salnikowski plays over 50 different instruments, and has used his skills as performer, composer, educator, and multidisciplinary artist, to produce and perform a wide variety of material. From experimental orchestral and jazz, to ambient pop, indy rock, funk, and technical metal, Gage has equal experience performing the avant-garde in art galleries and concerts halls as he does touring with local acts.
Notably, Gage's work was recently featured on CBC television, CBC radio, City TV, and CKUW for recording classical symphonies as a one man orchestra, playing every instrument himself.
Gage teaches at our Winnipeg (Pembina) lesson centre.

Jordan began his cello training at Cambrian College under the guidance of former NBSO conductor Dr. Metro Kozak. He attended the University of Ottawa music program where he studied with National Arts Centre Orchestra principal cellist Amanda Forsyth and NACO cellist Margaret Munro-Tobolowska. He has done numerous performances in Ottawa both in and outside of the University in addition to teaching stringed instruments, including his first instrument, the guitar. He is the North Bay Symphony principal cellist. Jordan’s rate is $28 per ½ hour lesson.

Laura Nadine is an accomplished music teacher and autism advocate of 24 years based in Toronto, Canada. She is the creator of an innovative music pedagogy that aims to make music available to students with disabilities. Laura has been actively involved in autism advocacy and public speaking since 2007, empowering individuals through films and music she has created. She advocates for Autism Canada as an ASD Advisor and serves on the Advisory Board of Hirsch Academy to develop classroom strategies and inclusive environments that support a "presumed competence" model.
Laura was employed as a Strings Teacher in the American Public Schools for multiple years, where she instructed violin to middle school students. She also taught private lessons through the Gwinnett School of Music to students aged 2.5 years and up via the Suzuki Method. Laura has a broad range of skills in the field of music education, including Suzuki Strings, Orchestral Direction, Music Composition and Arranging, and Film Scoring. She is a skilled violin and viola performer and an expert in Inclusive Classroom Strategies.

Matthew McPhalen holds a Bachelor of Music Degree specializing in cello performance from the University of British Columbia where he studied with Eric Wilson. He then completed his Master of Music Degree at the University of Calgary, where he studied with John Kadz and Johanne Perron. While in Calgary he also spent four years in the Advanced Performance Program at Mount Royal University Conservatory. Matthew has frequently attended summer sessions at Domaine Forget and the Orford Arts Centre in Quebec where he had the privilege to learn from artists such as Lynn Harrell and Raphael Wallfisch. He has played in many types of ensembles including symphony orchestras, quartets, piano trios, contemporary ensembles and early music ensembles.
