Description
Made in Europe at their Romanian workshop, this wonderful violin is constructed with a carved solid Carpathian Spruce top and a carved solid Carpathian Maple back and sides. This combination of tonewoods creates a warm vibrant tone, with excellent resonant quality, well-formed low end, and articulate highs. The Model 52 is finished in a reddish brown varnish for long lasting beauty.
The the tuning pegs, chin rest, and fingerboard are dark ebony, and the Model 52 features a Wittner Ultra tailpiece and seasoned French bridge.
The Mathias Thoma Model 52 Violin Outfit comes strung with nylon core D'addario Helicore strings for warm and rich tone. It also comes in a molded plastic case with bow.
