The Hagstrom Select Swede is a high-end variant of the Hagstrom Les Paul-style single-cutaway classical guitar, designed to position itself above standard Swede models through improved woods, aesthetics, and build quality.


Fundamental Identity

The Select Swede is first and foremost a single-cutaway electric guitar with a set neck, designed for rich, sustained tones and optimal playing comfort. It draws heavily on vintage Gibson-style guitars, while also benefiting from Hagstrom's own technical innovations.

Body and construction
Body wood: Solid mahogany
Top: Carved maple (Some models often feature tops made of solid maple or premium flamed maple, not just veneers)
Construction: Set neck (glued neck-body joint for better sustain)

Deep warmth in the bass (mahogany)
Brilliant articulation and snap (maple top)

Fingerboard: Hagstrom "Resinator" composite wood
