In 1993, Fender unveiled its Tweed series of amplifiers, which met with immense success and critical acclaim. The concept: what if a magnificent, collectible 1950s Deluxe or Bassman amplifier was customized with a channel switching and reverb system?
Introducing the Reissue Blues Deluxe, a vintage-style tube amp offering boutique-quality sound at a great price, which has been used successfully by many professional rock, country, and blues musicians.
Although its newer cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, benefits from many modern improvements, more and more enthusiasts continue to demand the warm sound, unique circuitry, classic features and racy look of the original version.
As a result, the Reissue Blues Deluxe sends 40 watts of power into a single 12-inch Eminence Special Design speaker, powered by two 6L6 output tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes.
Its two channels – normal (with a Bright switch) and overdrive – are designed for classic blues, country, and rock. It also features a Fender spring reverb, an effects loop, and a two-knob footswitch for channel switching. Its refined aesthetics include a tweed covering, "chicken head" style knobs, and a chrome control panel.
