Description

Push the boundaries of your playing. Explore an infinite sonic palette with six classic modes spread across three foot-controlled channels. Visualize the ideal guitar sound from any era… and it's yours.

With the Nomad, it's impossible to get lost. Its simple and intuitive front panel offers an uncompromising control layout, repeated three times. The preamps deliver powerful, nuanced, and rich tones. In contrast to an aggressive sound, channel 1 offers a beautiful, balanced clean tone that blossoms at a relaxed, laid-back pace. You can also increase the gain by switching to Pushed mode for a more biting saturation, bordering on clean.

Channel two is immense, with a wide, rounded sonic envelope. The notes seem to unfold in the air, filling the space with a radiant richness. Smoky and purring, this sound is brimming with nuance, rewarding the musician who bases their style on subtlety. The gain curve extends from an almost crystalline tone to a silky, flowing sustain. The Vintage/Modern switch doesn't radically alter the Nomad's gain; rather, it brings the sound forward or back, like an old sepia photograph.

Channel 3 is punchier, brighter, and faster. And once again, the Nomad offers the musician subtle gain nuances, even at low levels. Among its most appreciated tones is the icy blues it delivers. With low gain, its touch sensitivity is such that you can play chords with precision while punctuating them with biting intensity, simply by modulating your pick attack.

Make no mistake, pushing the Lead channel to its limit delivers an extreme and incisive saturation, yet one of remarkable finesse and diplomacy; a saturation that can express itself with gentleness or subtlety, whispering or piercing. The inherent refinement of the Nomad distinguishes it from the more raw approach of our best-selling Rectifiers.
