The Q or "Quest" series is an entirely new concept for Ibanez: lighter, more portable instruments developed from the ground up.

This range features several unique elements designed to maximize sound, performance, and playability. These include custom-designed R1 single-coil and Q58 humbucker pickups, a new Monotone bridge, and an exclusive string-locking mechanism. The QX sub-series also features innovative frets that are angled 8 degrees inward, allowing the guitar's ergonomics to be tailored to the needs of highly skilled players.

Ultimately, this series offers a sufficiently diverse and versatile set of features to appeal not only to the modern, technically skilled guitarist, but also to players who may never have considered a headless guitar before. Regardless of genre, the Q (Quest) allows guitarists of all backgrounds to explore the full extent of their creative possibilities.

To accommodate different playing styles, the Wizard C's neck has a very neutral shape: it's neither too thick, nor too thin, nor too flat. The 3-piece construction of roasted maple and bubinga also provides excellent stability and long-term durability.

Roasted Birdseye Maple Fingerboard
The stunning Birdseye maple fingerboard gives this bass an exotic look. The fingerboard is heat-treated for a balanced attack and rich sustain.

R1 / Q58 SSH Microphones
The R1/Q58 pickup combination is designed specifically for headless guitars. It delivers a clearly defined sound, facilitating excellent tonal balance across all frequencies. The bass is powerful without being muddy, and the treble is clear and bright, but never harsh. Consequently, every note in the chord structure is well-defined and clearly audible. The R1's design, with its tonal balance and extremely low noise performance, works exceptionally well with both digital and analog effects.

Custom rope locking
This custom string locking device is a simple, one-piece design. This means the hardware requires less maintenance, is highly durable, and allows for easy string changes. Furthermore, no proprietary strings are required, allowing you to continue using your preferred gauge and brand.

Mono tune bridges
Mono-tune bridges offer a wide range of intonation, so you can easily tune the instrument down a notch or even more. String height is also easily adjustable, and each nut typically has less material, resulting in a more natural and organic sound.

dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch
The dyna-MIX 9 offers ten tonal variations and can easily switch from humbucker to single-coil mode using the mini-switch. The Power Tap mode delivers a realistic single-coil sound despite the humbucker pickup configuration.

Ergonomic body design
The body features a number of strategically placed curves on the top and back of the instrument. This complex, yet sophisticated design offers maximum playing comfort.
