This cello does not carry the name of a brand or luthier but is a good quality Stradivarius copy. The majority of cellos that carry these more vague labels are mass produced instruments made to mimic the famed work of Antonio Stradivari.

This cello is made of a laminate construction offering stronger resistance to environmental changes such as temperature and humidity which can seriously harm solid wooden instruments. The more robust build is ideal for kids and/or beginners who are at Laminate bodied cellos also tend to have a brighter sound. The cello is equipped with D'addario Prelude strings. These solid steel core strings are excellent for general use and are best suited to complement the timbre of this cello.

The label on this cello notes it being made in West Germany, dating it to at least 1990. The condition of this cello after close to 40 years (at least!) stands as testament to the excellent build quality.
