S'il y avait un Mont Rushmore des maîtres de la Stratocaster, Stevie Ray Vaughan serait l'un des grands qui y seraient consacrés. Presque seul responsable du renouveau du blues électrique dans les années 80 et 90, il a utilisé sa Strat® bien-aimée pour se frayer un chemin jusqu'au sommet des charts. Seuls les artisans du Custom Shop ont pu fabriquer cette guitare que Vaughan a co-conçue avec nous avant sa mort prématurée. C'est l'une des guitares les plus vénérées au monde, et Fender est fier d'en faire un ajout permanent à la Custom Artist Collection.

SRV a fortement modifié sa Strat pour l'adapter à son style de jeu énergique mais contrôlé. Fender a inclus un trio de micros Custom Shop Texas Special à bobinage manuel à haut rendement pour une sonorité fougueuse, authentiquement Fender et aussi grande que l'état de Lone Star. En hommage à son héros personnel, Jimi Hendrix (qui est également connu pour ses Strat), SRV a utilisé un chevalet tremolo synchronisé de style vintage pour gaucher sur sa guitare, ce qui lui a permis de travailler le bras tremolo avec son coude - une modification que Fender a joyeusement recréée. Le corps en deux parties est fabriqué à partir d'aulne sélectionné pour son poids et son grain, et sa finition en laque Relic vieillira et s'usera d'une manière nettement personnelle, tout comme l'original. Le manche en érable teinté riftawn a un profil en "C ovale" légèrement plus fin du côté des aigus, ce qui facilite la flexion de ces cordes dans la stratosphère - une recréation précise du profil du manche de sa guitare préférée.

Parmi les autres caractéristiques, citons la commutation de micro à 5 voies, le câblage de style vintage, le protège-lecture noir "SRV" à 3 couches, les accordeurs de style vintage, la touche en palissandre, le sillet en os et l'arbre à cordes en aile. Comprend un étui de luxe en coque rigide, une sangle et un certificat d'authenticité.

If there were a Mount Rushmore of Stratocaster Masters, Stevie Ray Vaughan would be one of the greats enshrined there. Almost single-handedly responsible for the electric blues revival of the 80s and 90s, he used his beloved Strat®, to blaze his way to the top of the charts. Only the artisans at the Custom Shop could craft this guitar that Vaughan co-designed with us before his untimely passing. It's one of the most revered guitars in the world, and Fender is proud to make it a permanent addition to the Custom Artist Collection.

SRV heavily modified his Strat to match his energetic, yet controlled, playing style. Fender included a trio of hot, high-output Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups for fiery, authentically Fender tone that's as big as the Lone Star state. As an homage to his personal hero, Jimi Hendrix (who's also been known to pick up a Strat) SRV used a left-handed vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge on his guitar, allowing him to work the tremolo arm with his elbow- a modification Fender cheerfully recreated. The two-piece body is crafted from alder selected for its weight and grain, and its Relic lacquer finish will age and wear in a distinctly personal way, just like the original. The tinted riftsawn maple neck has an "Oval C" profile that's slightly thinner on the treble side, making it easier to bend those strings into the stratosphere- a precise recreation of his favorite guitar's neck profile.

Other features include 5-way pickup switching, vintage-style wiring, 3-ply Black "SRV" pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, rosewood fingerboard, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
