The Apex181 is a highly affordable studio quality microphone solution with an integrated USB interface.

Designed to seamlessly connect to any computer based recording package, the Apex181 studio condenser microphone can be plugged into any USB port without the need of any additional audio interface, phantom power supply or mic pre-amp. The only connection required is a standard USB cable, included in the package.

The Apex181 features a 20mm internal shock mounted diaphragm with a highly versatile cardioid pick up pattern. By design, the Apex181 works perfectly on any OS-X or Windows XP based PC running any DAW software package. It provides an ideal audio capture solution for highly mobile laptop users without carrying any additional hardware interface.

Apex Control Software is a free download for anyone wishing additional input level control for Apex USB equipped microphone running Windows.

This simple program solves input gain issues some users may experience with USB microphones when connected to a Windows based PC or laptop.

As an added bonus, Apex Control adds several useful features including a tunable low frequency roll-off, phase inversion switch; one touch mute button and one touch monitoring of the input source, comprehensive input metering and a master microphone gain control.

Apex Control also offers a quick one click access to all Windows Control Panel audio functions and delivers a simple plug and play direct input recording function for quick on the fly one track recording; - ideal for interviews, ENG or capturing live off the floor stereo waves.
