The PRS Studio is a modern take on a traditional single-coil guitar. Featuring PRS's exclusive Narrowfield pickups in the middle and neck positions and a 58/15 LT humbucker in the bridge position, the PRS Studio delivers punchy single-coil tones, scooped vintage sounds, and the thick kick of a screaming humbucker in a single instrument. This entirely new range of tones (only possible with a three-pickup guitar) is easily accessible in the Studio model thanks to the push/pull tone control and 5-way blade switch. With seven combinations in total, the PRS Studio covers classic sounds while maintaining a unique voice, making it a perfect guitar for "desert islands."

For 2024, PRS Guitars is updating the tuners on several of its Core guitars. While aesthetically, PRS's new Wing knobs are designed to echo the wingspan design of birds at the 12th fret, they were primarily designed for tonal reasons back in 1982. Because these knobs are lighter than their metal predecessors, they draw less energy away from the vibrating strings, allowing the guitar to sustain longer and on a more musical note.
