The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most remarkable electric guitars of all time and has been played by some of the world's most talented and beloved musicians. With its single-cutaway mahogany body and often flamed maple top, its look is iconic. In the past, Gibson has produced acoustic versions of the Les Paul; first, from 1969 to 1973, as a cutaway Jumbo model, and then from 2000 to 2003, Gibson Custom made a solid-body Les Paul Acoustic. Now, Gibson is proud to introduce the Les Paul Parlor Acoustic. Its smaller, Parlor-sized body is reminiscent of a scaled-down SJ-200. The Les Paul Parlor Acoustic's back and sides are solid mahogany, while the matched top is supported by traditional scalloped X-bracing and is solid AAA flamed maple.
Both the top and back feature single-ply cream binding. The top is just as stunning as the hand-joined tops found on many Gibson electric models. As with electric guitars, the maple adds bite and definition to the warm notes of the mahogany body. The mahogany neck features a comfortable and fast Advanced Response profile, neither too massive nor too thin. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, 19 standard frets, and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. The neck is attached to the body with a composite dovetail joint. The rosewood bridge is installed face-down, and the nut, saddle, and tuning pegs are all TUSQ. The TUSQ nut and bridge, along with the nickel-plated Grover Rotomatic tuners, ensure precise tuning, allowing you to spend more time playing and less time tuning.
The cream single-ply pickguard shape is inspired by those of Les Paul Standard electric guitars and reinforces the Les Paul aesthetic, as does the mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and gold Les Paul Model sticker on the headstock. The Les Paul Parlor Acoustic comes factory-equipped with an LR Baggs™ VTC+4 piezo pickup under the nut and an active preamp with discreet, easy-to-access volume and tone controls mounted on the soundhole. So it's ready to play right out of the included modern hardshell case. Seize the opportunity to own a high-quality, great-sounding Gibson acoustic guitar, just like your Gibson Les Paul Standard.
