The Hohner Clavinet D6 is an electro-mechanical keyboard instrument known for its funky, percussive, and bright tone, which was a 1970s staple in funk, rock, and pop music. Its design, invented by Ernst Zacharias, is a portable electric version of the medieval clavichord.
