Description
***This starts where most fuzz pedals end... and while it does "traditional" fuzz very well, the Fuzz Factory goes beyond the edge of sanity to glorious sonic chaos.
The Fuzz Factory isn’t a pedal you just stomp on. It’s a pedal you keep on a leash, playing with the knobs in real time and responding to it with your playing as much as it responds to you.
The typical fuzz words fail when it comes to describing the ZVex Fuzz Factory.
While it’s capable of being wooly, hairy, velcro-ey, gritty, and even subtle, it earned its fame due to the wild oscillations and noise that mingle with your playing when the Gate and Stab knobs are twiddled.
(This pedal is circa 2007-2008, single owner until now)
This is a five-knob fuzz using two new old-stock sixties germanium transistors. The circuit is not modeled after any classic fuzz design, but should have been around when Leary was still lucid.
Although the five knobs are named for the parameters over which they seem to have the most control, they are really controls for various operating levels and biases, and basically shape you a personalized fuzz.
