Description

Named in honor of Ted McCarty, a pioneer of the electric guitar and the musical instrument industry, the McCarty embodies the latest innovations from PRS and pays homage to the golden age of the guitar. This vintage-style guitar features a 22-fret Pattern neck with binding, a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, and 58/15 LT pickups (treble and bass) that have undergone TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) processing. The 58/15 LT pickups are vintage-style pickups offering exceptional clarity and precise midrange. Combined with a push/pull tone control and a 3-way pickup selector, they provide a full tonal palette. The McCarty is equipped with a PRS Stoptail bridge with brass inserts for increased resonance and vintage-style tuners.

So, these are the elements we focused our research on when we studied the McCarty model. These improvements radically transform the sound.
