Among the most versatile guitars in the PRS lineup, the 509 harnesses the power of its five pickups to deliver nine unique and musical tones. The 509 features five single-coil pickups, with the four outer pickups grouped as humbuckers. An innovative switching system (a 5-way selector switch and two coil-split mini-switches) allows musicians to access a wide range of sounds, from humbuckers to single-coils and blends.

Among its unique features are a longer 25.25-inch scale length that adds brightness to the upper harmonics and the patented PRS Gen III tremolo that delivers impressive sustain.
