Description

Accessories Included: non-original case

1949 Gibson ES-125 in sunburst, verified date based on interior stamped Factory Order Number and by the pickup (non adjustable pole pieces from 1947-49, from 1950 onward they were adjustable poles).

This guitar has a fair amount of wear on it, but nothing that really affects playability. The guitar finish is completely checked all over the entire instrument, and the head shows some larger chips and dings. The back of the neck has worn through at about 5th fret, but again is smooth wear and does not affect the playability.

The pickup sounds absolutely sweet and this guitar gets a lot of love here, and it's ready to go to a new home.

Please note: the serial number listed with this guitar is our system generated number when we took this guitar in. This guitar was not built with a Gibson serial number (only the more expensive ones at that time got that luxury).

The original parts:
Pots
Bridge
Pickup
Frets (though they are very low and if you are planning to play this guitar more than just a couch guitar a refret should be considered in the future and would not be covered under our Performance Warranty. The frets as they are play quite nice if you're just jammin)

The replaced parts:
Schaller M80 tuners (likely late 70s/early 80s as they say "West Germany")
Gold Speed Knobs
Tailpiece
Strap pins at the base and at the bottom of the neck
Case (generic 70s/80s hard case [Takamine sticker on bottom])

Missing parts:
pickguard
