From Chase Bliss:
“Habit could be compared to a musical sketchbook, and that’s probably the best image to begin to visualize it. It allows you to recapture that feeling of absentmindedly doodling in a notebook and seeing an image emerge. It’s a delay effect that allows you to escape from the present moment and create echoes of the past. Or both at the same time. It works by recording every sound entering the pedal, so you can listen to them again later. You can thus retrieve sounds created two minutes ago and turn them into loops, harmonize them with old pieces, or create impossible echo patterns.”
This is a completely new concept, which caused a bit of panic when creating the teaching materials. Will the public understand it? It's both an effect and a tool, with a unique workflow.
Habit is a very exploratory delay pedal. You can record improvised pieces directly into the pedal, navigate through an entire performance with a simple turn of a knob, and yes, you can simply create delay sounds (it's even encouraged).
This will most certainly open up new musical avenues for you, and we have created an impressive amount of resources to help you achieve this.
