I just bought my second one. Yesterday my wife got me one as a present, and I loved it so much, I bought a second one! The IR-200 allows you to load 2 IRs at a time. It sends each out to a dedicated speaker for a stereo sound. For me these speakers sounded fantastic right out of the box, I didn't need to EQ or adjust tones. However; I have one on a floor stand, and another one on a table about as high as the first. The speakers are about ear level to where I'm playing. Maybe if I had them on the floor I'd have a different opinion? My only beef is that the units are a little pricey, and the second "line in" is more of a tease than functional (It combines both line 1 and line 2 into a mono mix). For this reason I bought the second one. I also wish they would make them in a smaller size. I don't plan on gigging, just playing. Asides from these nit-picks, the sound quality is amazing, the build quality is quite solid, and most of the features are useful (IMHO). If you use IRs (Tonex, HeadRush, Boss, Strymon, etc) then check out this speaker.

Very loud and is easy and light to pack up, I like the di output as well. Loud enough to play over top drums and not even close to maxed out!!! 🤘🤘

Picked up my second one so I can run stereo, sound great with my Axe FX 2, they do sound better if they are off the ground and on stands. Tyler at Kamloops L&M was great to deal with as usual.

Purchased this speaker to work with my guitar amp modeller. For the price it sounds great. However, when I fist got it I noticed it was really bass heavy. If you’ve ever seen ads for the headrush speakers you’ll notice they are placed on the ground which I think adds to the extra bass frequencies. I purchased a yorkville mini PA stand, placed the speaker on it and that has reduced the bass dramatically. This speaker does not want to be on the ground. Unless you like your entire house shaking then go nuts. But for clearer mids and highs get a stand!

Has a pole mount socket, sound quality is comparable to similar PA wedges costing more than twice as much. I leave the contour switch off, because the low end is already slightly boosted compared to my studio monitors. Handles 5-string bass and keyboards better than my Bose S1 Pro. Perfect complement to preamps and modellers like my Fly Rig and HX Stomp.

I thought that it might not be loud enough but I was wrong. I use it with a Pod Go and it absolutely brings it alive. Great value, will be using it from here on in.

First, let's get one thing out of the way... there is no way that this speaker is 2000 watts by any measure that means anything in the real world. Having said that, it is perfectly loud enough for almost any guitar application, and very loud for its size. It pushes about as much sound as my all-plywood Yorkville E10P's, but is much lighter and smaller. If you are passing up the 108 in favour of the 112 because you think the 108 won't have enough low end, think again. If anything, this cab may be TOO bass heavy for some people's tastes. I use this with my Helix LT. With this setup, I'm able to take this, my Helix and two guitars in a dual gigbag, all on my motorcycle, and have everything I need to gig. If I needed more volume, I'd go with two of these 108's in stereo rather than go to the 112's... but frankly I can't imagine a situation where I'd need more.

This is a beast! The biggest problem is that it's deceiving. It is small and light and sounds amazing! I've had it on gigs and rehearsals and have been asked to turn it down regularly. Great quality and really works well on stage. The dual input can allow you to run a line mix of the rest of the band for you without using a second wedge. Love it.

Flat response is a perfect reference to ajust the Pedalboard tone settings. This setup sounds very similar to real guitar amp. Loud enough to play with a band. On stage you can use one input for the pedalboard and the other for monitor return. Lightweight, easy to carry.

I use this amp for my bass rig. It has enough power for stand alone amp and serves great as personal monitor when I'm connecting base to FOH directly and all that for $299 CAD. Sound is clean and to get tone I want I'm using iRig HD.

I was sceptical about this powered FRFR speaker at first, then I plugged it in and tried it out. I was amazed at the power it has, using my line 6 Helix. For me it is perfect!

At first I tried and it was some kind of metal sound vibration, but it was just the mount screw that was loose, after that it was just perfect, this little thing on 7 can seriously damage your ear, I use it with a Digitech Rp360xp and some stomp boxes before, it sounds good and it does not color the sound of your multi effect. I think it is perfect size and light to carry around , i'm happy with this purchase.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
