Natalie has been Lesson Coordinator at our Edmonton Highlands location since 2018. Music lessons have been an important part of her life since she was 9 years old. This led her to obtain a Bachelor of Music Degree from King's University, with a concentration on classical Alto Saxophone. Having taught private lessons herself, Natalie has an intricate understanding of the students' and instructors' perspective while they work towards musical achievements. Natalie's personal philosophy is that learning music should be a personal experience, unique and challenging, while having fun!

Aaron Matheson has taught private lessons for guitar and piano for 7 years. He is a graduate of the MacEwan University music program with a Degree majoring in guitar performance. He also received a Music Diploma from MacEwan University majoring in Composition. He studied jazz and contemporary guitar with Juno-nominated guitarist Jim Head, as well as composition with acclaimed contemporary Canadian composer Allan Gilliland. He performs regularly throughout Alberta and has played in opening slots for artists such as Coleman Hell, The Zolas, Scenic Route to Alaska, Busty and the Bass, and The Royal Foundry. He has toured across Western Canada and India. He teaches all skill levels and genres, but specializes in genres like rock, pop, jazz, blues, funk, folk, and R&B.
His rate is $25 per half hour.

Aaron is a local freelance musician and teacher who has been active with many groups including his ongoing roll as an instructor. Aaron is currently completing a degree in percussion at Selkirk College for Contemporary Music, and has experience teaching and playing across a wide range of genres. Aaron teaches drum lessons at both our Edmonton Highlands and Edmonton South locations.
His rate is $24 per half hour.

Adam has taught guitar through Long and McQuade for seven years, impacting and inspiring many students through his one-to-one teaching, music camp instruction, and adjudication. Adam has played guitar for most of his life, either as a solo performer or in different acts. He is constantly composing and producing for his main project Bloom Filter. He received his Bachelor of music in audio while studying classical guitar at the University of Lethbridge and went on to do his master's degree in computer science (music technology). Adam continues to learn and write as much music as he possibly can and loves to share that enthusiasm and excitement with his students. Adam offers guitar lessons at our Edmonton Highlands location.

Andrew Noakes has been teaching for 6 years in private, group and classroom settings. A Calgary boy who attended Mount Royal University with a Diploma in Jazz Performance, then transferred to the big city of Toronto to complete a Bachelor's degree in Music from Humber College. After living in Toronto for 7 years, having incredible opportunities to perform in the premier venues and teaching in different areas across Toronto and Ontario with many different ensembles, bands and orchestras, he never quite felt like a Torontonian. He decided to move back to his home province, to engage in the Albertan music community. Andrew is a professional trombonist and guitarist, most notably performing with Dipo, Gold Complex, the Lower Ossington Musical Theatre Company, Broken Social Scene and more. As well, Andrew just completed a Bachelor of Education from York University in Toronto - he is hoping to utilize new pedagogical practices in all of his teaching. He specializes in teaching trombone (tenor and bass), and trumpet, along with music theory. Andrew teaches lessons at our Edmonton Highlands location.

Angelina Zhang holds a Master’s Degree of Piano Performance and Bachelor’s Degree of Music Education from China. Angelina has over 20 years experience of playing piano and over 10 years of teaching piano and music to students in China. Since arriving in Edmonton, Angelina has continued to teach piano and music to students from various backgrounds and levels from beginners to advanced. She focuses on cultivating her student’s musical interest by teaching students both expressive and technical skills. She is very patient and also able to instruct piano and theory in both English & Chinese (Mandarin). Angelina teaches piano and theory lessons at our Edmonton Highlands Location.

Ani Brenton completed her diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music from Grant MacEwan University in 2010, and is currently in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at the University of Alberta. Between finishing her studies at MacEwan and beginning at the UofA, Ani took time off to travel, gig, and begin teaching private voice, piano, and theory lessons, which she has been doing since 2012. Ani specializes in a variety of styles including pop, jazz, soul, blues, musical theatre and classical music. Curtis has been teaching since 2008 in a variety of genres including rock, pop, R&B and metal. He has released two solo albums that charted highly on CBC and college radio throughout Canada, and was the musical director for several plays including the University of Alberta's production of Tom Waits' “The Black Rider.” He has performed with many prominent artists such as George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic, Cadence Weapon and Bill Bourne. Jennie Emms comes from a musical family in Red Deer, Alberta. She has been playing violin from a very young age, competing in local Kiwanis Music Festivals as well as performing with both the Red Deer Youth and Senior Orchestra, and Burman University Symphony Orchestra. She has had the pleasure of performing in the pit bands of local musical productions such as Beauty and the Beast and Sweeney Todd.
