Agnieszka has her certificate in Early Leaning and Child Care from NWPT and loves to work with young children! She also graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland, in 2000 with an M.A. in Classical Philology. She has studied R.C.M. and is currently working on her Grade 9 practical and theory co-requisites. Agnieszka has been teaching with Long & McQuade since 2018. Her rate is $29 per half hour.

Ellishka Wall (Violin)

With over twenty years of experience, Ellishka has performed with orchestras, bands, for balls, musicals, and even a circus! She has performed in masterclasses taught by notable artists such as David Stewart, Robert Uchida, and Philip Chiu. She is currently an active member in three orchestras but is primarily based with the Grande Prairie Symphony Orchestra. Throughout the years Ellishka has been many things, student, teacher, music director, and gig musician, but her main passion lies in her volunteer work. She helps direct many charity concerts in the community and for hospices, schools, and for war refugee fundraisers. She achieved her grade 10 at the Royal Conservatory of Music before continuing on to obtain her Bachelors of Music at the University of Alberta under the study of Guillaume Tardif. Her rate is $30 per half hour.

With many years of professional experience playing in local bands and doing recording for projects in both Brazil and Poland, Kjetil has much to share with his students. He also tutored K-12 in school subjects so he has experience working with students of all ages. Kjetil has been teaching since 2007. He has been teaching with Long & McQuade since 2024. His Rate is $27 / half hour.

Kyle Doucette - Online Lessons Only (Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin)

Kyle has studied guitar and music theory since 2008 with Vic Mullen, who also taught him banjo for two years. Kyle has extensive experience as a touring bluegrass musician. In 2012 he was nominated for guitar and banjo player of the year at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards.
Kyle taught for eight years with the Clare Bluegrass Association. He has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2015. Kyle teaches guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin at the Grande Prairie store and his rate is $30 per half-hour.

Kyle Friesen (Batterie)

Kyle has been drumming since 2009, and has studied at NWPT in music theory and ear training. Being experienced in a variety of different genres including rock, country, jazz, funk and Latin, as well as having an in depth understanding on music theory and how it pertains to drums and percussion, he offers a wide array of options for his students. Kyle has been teaching since 2017. He started with Long & McQuade in 2023. His rate is $27 / half hour lesson.

Laysan Shakurova (Piano)

Laysan has been playing piano for over 30 years. She studied piano and theory at the Kazan Music College, and education in musicology at the Kazan State Conservatory in Russia. Laysan taught private piano lessons while studying at the Conservatory. Upon graduation, she taught there for one year, before teaching at a K-12 music school for 18 years. After moving to Canada Laysan taught piano privately in Dawson Creek for four years. Laysan has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2015 and her rate is $30 per half-hour.

Lorraine Cook (Piano)

Lorraine has been playing piano for over 40 years. She has her grade 8 Royal conservatory in Piano and grade 4 theory. She has her Bachelor of Education and Arts from the University of Edmonton. She has been a substitute teacher in Grande Prairie for the past 13 years. She has taught classroom music, as well as elementary/junior high band, orchestra, and choir. Lorraine has taught with Long & McQuade since 2016 and her rate is $30 per half-hour.

Malika graduated Mount Allison University with a Major in classical studies and a minor in music in 2006, and graduated St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Education in 2012. She has a passion for music and teaching it to others. Trained in both Suzuki and traditional RCM methods she offers great versatility for her students. Malika has been teaching since 2005. Malika teaches violin, viola and cello at the Grande Prairie store and her rate is $30 per half-hour.

Siara Koenig (Piano)

Siara has been playing piano since 2012, and has taken over 10 years of piano lessons with a RCM certified teacher. She has completed the RCM level 10 certificate program, Elementary Pedagogy, as well as ARCT Harmony and Analysis. She is also well versed in other methods allowing her to teach a variety of students of all ages. Siara has been teaching since 2021. She started with Long & McQuade in 2023. Her rate is $27 / half hour lesson.
