Chelsea Landry

Chelsea Landry (Piano)

Chelsea is a jazz, pop and rock stage pianist. She has a diploma from Grant MacEwan University in Composition and currently spends her spare time writing music, both instrumental and vocals. She has a desire to bring the joy of playing piano to others, as well as the rush of performing in front of a live
audience.
Rate: $28 per half hour

Chelsie Pall

Chelsie Pall (Voice)

Chelsie studied voice at the University of Western Ontario, completing her master's degree in performance. During her time at Western, she performed as a choral scholar at the Church of St-Jude, and she directed a production of the Canadian contemporary opera City Workers in Love. For the last 3 summer's Chelsie has participated in the Academia Europea Dell'Opera (AEDO) in Italy and Opera Nuova in Calgary. She is the recipient of an SSHRC grant for her school tour program.
Chelsie has taught private and group voice lessons and theory classes during the summers for the past four years. She also taught sight singing for two years at the University of Western Ontario.
Rate: $30 per half hour

Chris Gallagher

Chris Gallagher (Brass)

Chris has played brass instruments in classical and jazz since 1996. He has a BMus (Music Education) from the University of Saskatchewan. He teaches school orchestra in Grande Prairie in the public system since 2009.
He has been at Long & McQuade since 2015.
Rate: $26 per half hour

Diana Strid

Diana Strid (Violin, Strings)

Diana has been playing violin for over 40 years. She has completed two years of study at Grande Prairie Regional College and several Suzuki method courses and workshops. She has played in numerous ensembles performing in an orchestra, as well as folk, country, pop and jazz music. She is also a harpist and a vocalist.
Diana has over 30 years of experience teaching violin at the GPRC Conservatory and in her private studio. She has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2013.
Rate: $27 per half hour

Kyle Doucette

Kyle Doucette (Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin)

Kyle has studied guitar and music theory since 2008 with Vic Mullen, who also taught him banjo for two years. Kyle has extensive experience as a touring bluegrass musician. In 2012 he was nominated for guitar and banjo player of the year at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards.
Kyle taught for eight years with the Clare Bluegrass Association. He has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2015.
Rate: $28 per half hour

Laysan Shakurova

Laysan Shakurova (Piano)

Laysan has been playing piano for over 30 years. She studied piano and theory at the Kazan Music College, and education in musicology at the Kazan State Conservatory in Russia. Laysan taught private piano lessons while studying at the Conservatory. Upon graduation, she taught there for one year, before teaching at a K-12 music school for 18 years. After moving to Canada Laysan taught piano privately in Dawson Creek for four years.
Laysan has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2015.
Rate: $28 per half hour

Lorraine Cook

Lorraine Cook (Piano, Voice)

Lorraine has been playing piano for over 40 years. She has her grade 8 Royal conservatory in Piano and grade 4 theory. She has her Bachelor of Education and Arts from the University of Edmonton. She has been a substitute teacher in Grande Prairie for the past 13 years. She has taught classroom music, as well as elementary/junior high band, orchestra, and choir. As a drama major Lorraine is an experienced vocal performer. She has been involved as an actor/singer in a wide range of musical theatre productions locally and provincially. She has also directed a number of shows for Grande Prairie Live Theatre (GPLT). Lorraine has sung with the University of Alberta Mixed Chorus, and the GPRC Choir.
Rate: $28 per half hour

Luke Taylor

Luke Taylor (Drums)

Luke has been touring as a drummer for the past 2 years. He has experience in many genres of music and is an enthusiastic musician with a passion to share his love of drums and rhythm to all students.
Rate: $26 per half hour

Malika Frost

Malika Frost (Violin, Viola, Cello, Strings)

Malika graduated Mount Allison University with a Major in classical studies and a minor in music in 2006, and graduated St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Education in 2012. She has a passion for music and teaching it to others. Trained in both Suzuki and traditional RCM methods she offers great versatility for her students. Malika has been teaching since 2005.
Rate: $28 per half hour

Tara Gibson

Tara Gibson (Voice, Piano)

Tara graduated with her Bachelor of Music Degree from Western University in Ontario in 2009. During and after her degree she actively performed in the London Ont. in group performances in operas as well as performing as a soloist. She has previously taught since 2010, with experience teaching at the Royal Conservatory in Victoria B.C. Tara is enthusiastic, positive and bubbling with energy and excitement over sharing her love of music and singing with students. Tara has been teaching since 2010

Tony Zazula

Tony Zazula (Guitar)

Tony has a passion for all things music and guitar. He is currently enrolled in a bachelors of music and education degree. He has been playing guitar since 2006 and enjoys playing live with his band and also has a recording studio set up in his home. He is enthusiastic about bringing the magic of music into the lives of aspiring guitar players at any level and any style.
