Currently teaching at several Long & McQuade lesson centres, he has been guiding budding and advancing guitar players for over a decade. Chris specializes in rock, pop and heavy metal, and teaches composition on the guitar. Chris also the is the facilitator for the Rock Skool program, uniting youth to create music together. Issah Contractor is both an exceptional artist and a passionate educator. Possessing a high level of mastery on both the electric bass and drums, Issah uses these two instruments to explore art, in all its multifarious forms. Aside from working with the high-end cover band ‘The Famous Playersʼ, Issah has various original projects. His most recent is an original opera, which was self funded and directed into a film. Jen began playing the piano from the young age of 5. Classically trained as a child, she was inspired as a young teenager to learn ragtime, Dixieland and jazz. She graduated from Vancouver Community College with a major in jazz piano and a minor in contemporary voice in 2001. She has extensive choral experience, performing with and even conducting Elektra Women’s Choir. Jen performs pop, country, jazz, rock, top 40 and even traditional African music as well as her original music. Jen has been teaching piano and voice lessons since 2002, and is also a licensed Kindermusic educator. Her students have received high ratings in festivals, RCM and Conservatory Canada exams. Matt is a full time freelance studio and live bass player based in Vancouver, BC. He has been recording and preforming bass in the greater Vancouver area since 2007 and is adept in playing a wide range of music. Matt has preformed in a variety of situations ranging from casinos and corporate events to theatres and clubs with a broad range of artists both nationally and internationally. Monika holds a Master of Performing Arts in violin from the Music Academy of Krakow, Poland. She started her teaching career as a student, touring and performing with professional chamber orchestras, symphonies, and quartets. Prior to working in BC, Monika worked in Florida and the Caribbean Islands. She continues to work as a soloist in addition to her teaching. She is a Gold Medal teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music with students winning first place at the Kiwanis Music Festival – Junior level, as well as performing in local youth orchestras. Paul Mason - Drums, Guitar music lessons in Langley

Shortly after picking up his kid sister’s abandoned guitar at the age of 13, Paul began concentrating on drums. By 15, he was already teaching in a marching band, as well as at Berger Music in Richmond, England. Shortly after graduating high school, Paul became a full-time touring drummer, a career he pursued until he acquired the Milestone Percussion (now known as Tempus Drums) business in 1985. Between ‘85 and ‘13 he custom built almost 7500 unique drums; these days he’s more musically active than ever, teaching, writing, recording and performing music, as well as through his activities as a music advocate, music therapist and special needs EA with the North Vancouver school district. His rate is $25 per half hour.

His began his formal musical education at the age of 8 from a number of local drum teachers (including Ken Moore and John Fisher), followed by the VCC Music Program for the following years. Rita loves to teach using simple and fun ways. During her high school years, Rita won a scholarship to the Shawnigan Summer School of the Arts. Inspired by master guitar duo Ako Ito and Henri Dorigny, she then continued her education at the Douglas College Music Program – followed by completion of the University of British Columbia's Music Performance/Fine Arts double major. Rita uses many teaching methods including the G4 Guitar Method and regularly contributes to the world wide G4 Guitar Teachers Network. Her newest project is the design of guitar music that can be read easily by young children and the visually impaired. Rita also leads guitar ensemble classes where students learn the value of playing alongside fellow

Born into a family of music educators, Will was surrounded by classical music from the beginning. At an early age Will would sit on his house's steps, watching and listening to his mother teaching vocal lessons. This early exposure tuned Will into just how amazing and enriching musical education can be. Between the ages of 4-11, Will studied the violin with a private teacher and played in a youth orchestra. During these years he received distinction for his musicality and strong ear, finalizing his violin studies by receiving first class honours in Grade 7 Royal Conservatory. Will picked up the guitar at 15 and began teaching himself. By 21 he had begun his post-secondary at VCC in Jazz Guitar Performance, and toured western Canada in a metal band.These days Will enjoys transcribing great jazz solos and performing his own music, both vocally and on the guitar. Will is looking forward to working with anyone curious and passionate about music. His rate is $25 per half hour.
