Welcome L&M Moncton's Lesson Centre! We have two locations: one at the L&M Moncton store on 245 Carson Drive, and one at the Dieppe Arts & Culture Centre on 331 rue Acadie, in Dieppe. We have 20 well equipped lesson studios between the two locations. If you have ever aspired to learn a musical instrument or you want to improve your skills and knowledge, this is the place for you! Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts degree (Major in Music) from Mount Allison University where he took classes on Theory, History, Composition, Analysis, Arranging, Methods and Teaching. He began taking drum lessons at the age of 12 and then took bass and guitar shortly after. He began teaching in 2015 and has been teaching drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, song writing and production techniques all over the maritimes. Ben plays rock, metal, acoustic, fusion and electronica and acts as composer and producer for various musical projects. Ben loves discussing writing techniques, production and advanced music theory concepts. His rates are $23 per half hour session.
daniel fournier (dieppe) (Drums, Percussion, Vibraphone)

Daniel earned his degree in percussion from Université de Moncton in 2007. He was a member of the university's percussion ensemble under the direction of Michel Deschênes. He is bilingual and has been teaching music since 2009. His rate is $23 per half-hour private lesson.

Jonah Landry (he/him) has been involved in and has shown his passion for the local music scene ever since he can remember. Whether it’s playing rock/folk drums in John Jerome and the Congregation (Moncton) or fast double bass techniques in Necrohol (Halifax), he has the tools to teach many genres across the board such as pop, rock, folk, metal, and introductory blues and jazz. When he’s not teaching or playing locally, you can find him working on local music videos (nominated for 4 MusicNB Video of the Year Awards) and working behind his camera! Jonah’s goal is to give back to the local music scene that has given so much to him growing up. His rate is $24 per half-hour lesson.
jonathan flanagan (Drums)

John has been teaching drums since 2005. He teaches a variety of styles including pop, rock, metal, country, and beginner jazz. Jon has been playing drums professionally for the last 15 years. He was the drummer for the heavy rock band Iron Giant. The band went on to received an ECMA for their performances. He was also the drummer for Mistreater along with taking part in many tribute bands for Black Sabbath, Elvis Presley (Thane Dunn), and The Cadillac Kings. Jon has a great passion for teaching children and adults alike. He likes to work hard and focus on theory but also concentrates on making learning fun. His rate is $25 per half-hour private lesson.
pascal deslongchamps (dieppe & moncton) (Drums)

Pascal has been teaching drums since 2001. He has formed his own band (Shades of Sorrow) in which he is drummer, writer, arranger and producer. Pascal teaches many different styles, including rock, hard rock, pop and heavy metal (double bass drumming). He also has a good knowledge of jazz, funk and country. Pascal studied at the Conservatory of Classical Music of Quebec and with many private teachers in Quebec and Montreal. His rates are $24 per half hour private lesson.
serge gallant (Bass Guitar, Clarinet, Drums, Flute, Guitar, Piano, Trumpet, Theory)

Serge earned his degree in classical saxophone performance from the Université of Moncton in 2007. Having taught students since his third year at the university, he has also been playing with various groups and tackling all styles, notably The Moncton Mingus Band, which specializes in jazz improvisation. He practices cabaret-style singing while accompanying himself on the piano. His rates are 24$ per half hour private lesson and 17.25$ per student for a half hour semi-private lesson.
Our Group Lessons:
Join our summer Rock Camp! Students gain skill in rhythm and lead guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals. Rock Camp 2024 will be from 10am-3pm, Monday-Friday, from July 15 - July 26. The final performance will be July 26 at 6:30pm at the Dieppe Arts & Culture Centre. This camp is for students ages 9 and up. Inquire with the lessons staff at [email protected] or 506-857-1987.
Long & McQuade Moncton’s weekly music and movement class for toddlers! This class introduces music concepts using a structured play-based approach. Students will interact with music through listening, dancing, and playing instruments to develop basic musical skills. This class is for children ages 2-5 years old. The class will be on Wednesdays from 10:30am-11:30am, and starts on April 17 until May 29.
