Andrew Kay - Saxophone, Clarinet, Woodwinds music lessons in North York

Andrew Kay (Saxophone, Clarinet, Woodwinds)

Andrew is a versatile musician and artist from Toronto, Canada performing music ranging from Indo-Jazz, World Music and Indian Classical Raga Music to Contemporary Jazz and Improvised Music. He is among one of the first musicians to perform Indian Classical music on the Alto Saxophone. He is a seasoned performer through numerous feature concerts around the globe with maestros and is the co-leader of many successful creative musical projects. Andrew also teaches lessons on flute and clarinet. His rate is $23/half hour.

Performances of note include playing on the field of Dallas Cowboys Stadium and performing/recording with Hannah Kirby, semi-finalist of Season 8 on “The Voice.”

Denise started learning the violin at 5 years old and is currently studying classical, jazz, and folk violin at York University. A multi-instrumentalist she has also studied piano, vocal, flute, viola, cello and guitar. She has played in the Mississauga Youth Orchestra, York University symphony orchestra and is currently a member of Brampton's Rose Orchestra. Denise's lesson rate is $23/half hour

Ran Jiang completed her Master’s degree in Music Education at Western University. As an RCM certified piano teacher, the member of Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association (ORMTA), and the founder of Piano Gamification, Ran believes that teaching piano is all about bringing students to the enjoyment of music and making achievements. While teaching piano, Ran is also a solfeggio and theory instructor. Rich was nominated for the 2016 Canadian Country Music Drummer of the Year. He graduated Humber College in 2011 and since then has toured internationally from North America all the way to Asia. Stephen Helmer - Guitar, Ukulele music lessons in North York

Stephen Helmer is a multi-instrumentalist and holds an Honours Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University, as well as a diploma of Music and Digital Media from St. Lawrence College. With 10+ years of teaching experience, Stephen teaches all RCM levels for Classical Guitar as well as an array of popular genres such as rock, metal, pop, fingerstyle, and jazz. He has also been teaching Ukulele for the past 8 years, teaching both popular genres and fingerstyle. Stephen is an avid performer and has been a part of many different stylistic groups over the years including the Limestone Quartet, Project Paramount, Plaid Lads, and recently released an album as member of Wildbloom. In 2013 his band was a finalist in the LCBO’s Whiskey Rocks competition and he had the pleasure of being one of the opening acts for Theory of a Deadman’s concert in London, Ontario. Stephen’s passion for teaching accommodates students of all ages and skill levels.

Yeganeh completed her Specialized B.F.A in violin performance at York University and has first-hand experience in teaching methods suitable for young children, including Orff and Kodaly.
