Ken is a hard hitting bassist and a well-rounded guitarist who has been teaching with us since 2007. Ken earned his degrees at York University and plays in a number of genres with a variety of local and national acts.He has performed at many jazz festivals in the region and frequently with doom metal giants Irn.
Ken's rate is $26/half hour.

Lindsay Jones - Guitar music lessons in North York

With ten years of guitar teaching experience, Lindsay is a seasoned music educator. She frequently performs as a soloist or accompanist in addition to conducting the Guitar Society of Toronto's community orchestra. She is currently pursuing a PhD in musicology at the University of Toronto.
Lindsay's rate is $25/half hour.

Mark Patterson - Guitar music lessons in North York

Mark has been performing and composing for a number of years. He has had the opportunity to perform with Martin Short, Paul Shaffer, Salome Bey, Deborah Cox, Billy Ray Cyrus, Burton Cummings, Roger Hodgson, Ashley MacIssac, DK Ibomeka, Divine Brown, Keshia Chante, Ron Sexsmith, Jacksoul and has toured extensively through Europe. Mark is also a studio musician and has performed at numerous Festivals and for Television shows.
Mark's rate is $27/half hour.

Matt Elder - Guitar, Bass guitar music lessons in North York

Matt has been teaching guitar and bass at our location since 2009 with much success. His talents span many genres, from country to hard rock, and include songwriting for various bands. Matt strives to balance his lessons with playing and theory while at the same time instilling new techniques and a passion for learning.
Matt's rate is $25/half hour.

Robert Taylor - Guitar, Banjo music lessons in North York

Robert is a guitarist, banjo player, and composer with over 20 years of teaching experience. Some notable achievements in Robert’s career include winning the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Championship and touring internationally as a recording artist. Robert’s music has also been performed by the Canadian Brass, has appeared on CBC Radio 2, and has been featured in multiple film soundtracks.
Robert’s rate is $25/half hour.

Stephen Helmer - Guitar, Ukulele music lessons in North York

Stephen Helmer (Guitar, Ukulele)

Stephen Helmer is a multi-instrumentalist and holds an Honours Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University, as well as a diploma of Music and Digital Media from St. Lawrence College. With 10+ years of teaching experience, Stephen teaches all RCM levels for Classical Guitar as well as an array of popular genres such as rock, metal, pop, fingerstyle, and jazz. He has also been teaching Ukulele for the past 8 years, teaching both popular genres and fingerstyle. Stephen is an avid performer and has been a part of many different stylistic groups over the years including the Limestone Quartet, Project Paramount, Plaid Lads, and recently released an album as member of Wildbloom. In 2013 his band was a finalist in the LCBO’s Whiskey Rocks competition and he had the pleasure of being one of the opening acts for Theory of a Deadman’s concert in London, Ontario. Stephen’s passion for teaching accommodates students of all ages and skill levels.
