Alek has been playing, teaching and recording drums for over 30 years. He holds a Master's degree in Pop and Jazz (New Bulgarian University)and has studied with Ron Savage (Berklee College of Music) and Hristo Yotchov (SAM) to name a few. He is one of the founding members of the Jazz Academy at the University of Goce Delchev (Republic of Macedonia) where he worked as an Associate Professor. Alek also worked as a Drum Professor at Metalworks Institute of Sound and Technology in Toronto.
Alek's rate is $30 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Andrew Furlong (Guitar/Bass) - Andrew holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Performance from The University of Toronto, and has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council and The Canadian Council for the Arts to study in New York City and Amsterdam. With over 10 years of teaching experience, he enjoys working with students of all skill levels with interests in any genre of music. He is active in Toronto as a gigging musician and has performed across Canada, the United States and Europe in jazz, rock and folk groups.

Arash holds a Bachelor's degree in Classical Piano Performance from the University of Tehran. His formal training has given him a comprehensive understanding of composition, music theory, improvisation and performance techniques. He has released four albums and performed at many well-known concert halls in Iran, with a diverse repertoire encompassing the most outstanding works of Western classical music as well as his own compositions. Arash loves sharing his passion for music through teaching; emphasizing a profound appreciation for music and its role in fostering creativity.

Christiana is an accomplished teacher and performer. She completed her B.Mus in Piano Performance at Western University and her Master's in Piano Performance & Literature. Recently, she completed two Postgraduate degrees at Royal Conservatory Antwerp in Belgium: Concert Soloist Piano and Chamber Music. Christiana also has her ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been teaching for over 10 years.
Cristiana's rate is $32 per 1/2 hour lesson.

David Riddel studied Jazz guitar at the University of Toronto and Grant Macewan University. He has extensive touring and studio experience with a wide variety of artists and, while he specializes in Jazz, David can teach any style at any skill level with equal enthusiasm and skill. David has taught for over 15 years.

Irina is a versatile teacher with over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages. She's recently come to Scarborough from Saskatchewan where she played with the Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra. Irina studied at the Musical College of Rimsky-Korsakov, and has completed her Gr 10 RCM (equivalent) with distinction. She currently performs with the Music4Life String Orchestra.
Irina's rate is $30 per 1/2 hr lesson.

Kurt is a guitarist and teacher with over 30 years of experience playing music and working with students. He is an active member of several bands, including the acclaimed jazz/world group Eucalyptus. Kurt is very excited to work with students of all skill levels and of any age. Beyond the basics, he can offer specialized instruction in jazz/chord melody guitar, bluegrass and electric country, heavy metal lead guitar/shred, R and B/funk, and improvisation. His approach prioritizes the individual student's learning style and emphasizes the importance of having fun, keeping things lively, and making sure that the curriculum suits current musical interests. Above all, Kurt is dedicated to passing on a passion for all things guitar: its history, its techniques, and the joy of playing it with others.

Nima is an active performer, session player, and educator with over 10 years of professional experience; even teaching at the esteemed Hatra Music Institute in Tehran. He's had the privilege of studying under esteemed drum masters like Jojo Mayer and Jost Nickel. He is a touring drummer for many Iranian and Canadian artists and is fluent in Jazz, Rock, Pop, Metal, and Funk.
Lessons with Nima will include how to read music, play by ear and develop a strong theoretical background, while also building the confidence to be on stage and play in front of a crowd.

Sergio has been studying voice anatomy and voice science for eight years, using proven methods of voice pedagogy from all over the world. Working alongside renowned instructors, he has a very wide scope on different approaches to help fix specific anatomical vocal habits and issues. Sergio actively performs, writes and arranges music not only for himself, but also for other vocalists.
Sergio's rate is $30 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Shanna obtained a degree in Jazz Performance from Humber College on the saxophone. She also enjoys teaching flute and clarinet, and has RCM training on the piano. She is a multi-instrumentalist who enjoys a wide variety of musical genres including jazz, pop, funk, classical, disco, metal and rock. After graduating, she performed on Carnival Cruise Lines for several years playing with a 10-piece showband, jazz sextet, and a classical trio. Shanna’s goal is for her students to love playing music by instilling confidence, technique, and musicality, as well as having fun!

Yalene has close to a decade of teaching experience with students of all ages and levels. She has completed her Gr 10 RCM in Piano and has also completed her Teacher's Grade in Carnatic Vocal Music. Aside from being a talented singer/songwriter, she also holds a BA of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering.

She has released four albums that have won national and international prizes. She has performed as a soloist, orchestra member, and band player at numerous concert halls in Iran and in Europe. With over 15 years of teaching experience at various music academies and schools, she has educated many successful students.
