Over the past 40 years Thomas Gatenby has played on stages and in venues, big and small, all over Ontario. Currently, as a guitarist for HWY 19 and Perry’s Lane, he has been performing in this area for the past 28 years. In the beginning Thomas’s formal training was with the Ontario Conservatory of Music. This brought the start of his career in music ranging from live performances in road shows, to teaching in various studios over the years. As a result, Thomas has helped many students achieve their musical goals. Thomas loves playing the guitar. He loves teaching guitar. This is what has brought him full circle to Long & McQuade. Thomas teaches one on one, using approaches borrowed from traditional teaching methods and from the many musicians he has performed with over the years. His lesson rate is $27/half-hour lesson.
