A multi-instrumentalist by training, Charles Roy Dubuc specialized in classical piano from an early age. For the past seven years, he has accompanied amateur choirs and novice soloists, and occasionally acts as a teaching assistant at the Université de Sherbrooke and Cégep de Sherbrooke. Holder of a DEC in classical piano from the Cégep de Sherbrooke and a Bachelor of Music from the Université de Sherbrooke, his main occupations are accompanying soloists, composing film music and researching music history. He will be delighted to teach you piano, taking into account your availability and musical tastes!

Renowned for his versatility, Francis Martel-Filteau is a singer, composer, songwriter, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer.

Since age six, he has taken piano, singing, guitar, and drum lessons. His path led him to the Cégep de Drummondville, where he discovered the world of sound engineering and studio recording. After four years of study and two diplomas (an AEC in sound engineering and recording and a DEC in music interpretation), he headed to the University of Sherbrooke to perfect his musical skills with a bachelor's degree in music composition for film.

Along the way, Francis participated in several musical ensembles covering many styles, including a tribute to Harmonium, Rosema Tulip - an emerging music group, and numerous private event representations. He also performed with jazz big bands and choirs as a soloist. His extensive performance experience has taken him all over Quebec, and he has toured extensively, playing from Club Soda in Montreal to Percé in the Gaspé Peninsula.

With over fifty years' experience as a live drummer-percussionist and some forty years in the music-teaching field, Gilles Anctil's passion for music is as strong as ever.

A member of the new Orchestre Jazz de Sherbrooke, he was also a member of the Orchestre Symphonique de Sherbrooke for a dozen years. He has performed with dozens of ensembles, large and small, in all musical styles.

After 32 years of service as a music teacher at Cégep de Sherbrooke, he was awarded the Prix Carrière Remarquable 2021 for his commitment. He has also taught studio engineering: sound recording, recording, mixing and sound reinforcement. He has taught drums and percussion at Bishop's University since 1990.

He has been the instigator of several projects that have contributed to musical development in Estrie while inspiring many musicians currently working in the field.

In short, his reputation as a musician is well established, and no student can resist him! He'll share his passion with you, and you'll be able to keep the beat going!

Jonathan-Guillaume Boudreau - Bass Guitar, Upright Bass, Composition, Jazz Theory, Theory music lessons in Sherbrooke

Born in Montreal and raised in Montérégie, Jonathan-Guillaume Boudreau has lived in Estrie for over 20 years. He completed his doctoral studies in music in the Interprétation- Contrebasse jazz program at Université Laval under the direction of Rafael Zaldivar. Jonathan also holds a master's degree in performance from Université Laval, a graduate diploma in jazz performance from Université de Sherbrooke, and a bachelor's degree in performance (electric bass) from Université de Sherbrooke. He has studied with such masters as Jean-François Martel, David Gelfand, and Adrian Vedady.

Jonathan-Guillaume Boudreau has been a performer, composer, and teacher for over 20 years and has accompanied artists such as Ranee-Lee, Gunhild Carling, Diunna Greenleaf, Lee Oskarn (of the band War), Roch Voisine, Garou, Corneille and many others. He also composes music for television; his music plays on American shows such as Shameless, Grown 102, Let's Make a Deal, Auction Kings, and Best Funeral Ever. Jonathan co-directs and co-produces original music projects such as Axiome (popular), Mashup Trio (jazz), Funk Fratelli (jazz-funk), Obatala (world music), and NDE (modern jazz). He won 1st prize in the Université Laval jazz chamber music competition (2019), 1st prize in the Montreal Jazz en rafale competition (2006), and 2nd prize in the Festiblues international de Montréal competition (2002). As a teacher, he has taught for several years as an electric bass and double bass specialist at Harmonie L'Inspiration in Victoriaville and as a lecturer in electric bass at Bishop's University in Sherbrooke.

Philippe Belley - Guitar, Composition, Arranging, Jazz Theory, Theory music lessons in Sherbrooke

Philippe began his career at Cégep de Drummondville, first as a performer and then as a composer in his fourth year. He is completing the second year of his bachelor's degree in composition at the Université de Sherbrooke. Philippe founded the Belley Jazz Project, a gypsy jazz group that has performed at the Château Frontenac. He is a session guitarist for the Agora studio, where he works as a teacher.

His curiosity for different musical styles continues to propel him into various projects - as a guitarist and a composer. Philippe enjoys composing in a wide range of styles, including gypsy jazz, music for film and video games, traditional Québécois reels and jigs, and more.

At an early age, music was an integral part of his life. His love for the guitar, passed on by his father, led him to turn to music as a passion and a field of study. Samuel's affection for music in high school led him to enroll in a music-study program in Victoriaville. He then continued his studies at the Cégep de Sherbrooke. Samuel is currently at the Université de Sherbrooke, working on obtaining his bachelor's degree in jazz guitar performance. His years of musical study in high school, Cégep, and Université de Sherbrooke have shaped his playing, leading him to delve into many musical styles. He also has an excellent background in music theory, improvisation, ensemble music, and even another instrument: the trombone.
