Lucas’ musical journey started on piano when he was young. He also played the flute through elementary school and into high school. But Lucas found his true passion in the bass in grade 10. In grade 11 Lucas started to study Double Bass and continued to study it in University. Lucas graduated with a degree in Double Bass Performance from the University of Regina in 2024 and has since moved to Saskatoon for further education. He continues to be heavily involved in music; playing in the University of Saskatchewan’s ensembles. Lucas runs Bass sectionals in schools and hopes to continue to be able to show more people how much fun playing bass can be.

Lucas encourages his students to experience and learn a variety of musical styles. He himself is well versed in Jazz, Rock, Pop, and Classical. Lucas also believes in the importance of learning music theory and enjoys teaching theory with an instrument in hand as an alternative to on paper. Lucas strives to create an environment where every student feels comfortable and can express their passion for music in whatever way works best for them.

Lucas offers bass and double bass lessons at our Saskatoon 8th Street location.
His lesson rate is $29 per half hour.
