Join Ariel for a Q&A and discussion on all topics including rig choices, guitar choices, how to get a good sound, songwriting, singing, being an artist, being a sideman and more. Ariel has been mentioned in such magazines as Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, Guitarist UK, The Guitar Magazine and more. He was also listed in the top 10 rock guitarists in the world 2019 by Music Radar.  A lifelong musician, there are few roles Ariel Posen hasn't played.

Upright Bass Beginnings with Chris Berti

This clinic, geared towards the beginner, will help students acquire the necessary skills to keep up with the rest of the band. We will cover proper standing and playing positions, using a bow (German or French), the difference between jazz and classical pizzicato, the first two hand positions, shifting, Bb and F major scales, general care of the instrument, and practice techniques. Students are asked to attend the clinic with a bass, bow and rosin.

Chris has been a double bassist for 30+ years and has studied at Indiana University, The University of Toronto and The University of Manitoba. He has played all styles of music on his instrument all around the world and has done many clinics and sessions here in Manitoba, starting bass players on a path to success in their band careers.

This tech-related seminar will will walk you through basic guitar construction with a focus on weather-related issues prominent in our environment. You will learn how to identify humidity loss, the skills required to solve the problem, or prevent them from happening altogether. Wally will also be addressing truss rods, saddles, restrings, and basic electronics. Tool knowledge and what we can supply will also be covered.
