Learn how to practice your lead licks over a simple chord progression! Turn yourself into a total one-person band! Collaborate with other looping musicians!

Looping can enhance your playing and amplify your creativity, and Fredericton's own legend of looping, Stephen Lewis, is back with Jay Merrill to take your looping collaborations to the next level by incorporating MIDI.

Stephen is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has entertained crowds from Fredericton's Harvest Music Festival, to the UK's Glastonbury Festival. He has performed with, and opened for, other well-known looping artists such as Zach Deputy and Dub FX. Stephen is a live looping instructor in New Brunswick's school music programs.

with Eric Giggie

Canada's East coast is beautiful, but its dramatic seasonal changes can be challenging for your guitar's well-being. Learn how to restring your guitar, adjust your string height, and correct your intonation so that your guitar will sound in-tune anywhere on the neck. Long & McQuade Fredericton's own Eric Giggie will demystify some basic guitar maintenance and show you how to keep your axe happy through the year.

Eric has been a guitar player and studio enthusiast for over 20 years. He is Long & McQuade Fredericton's Assistant Manager, and has performed the bulk of the store's guitar repairs onsite since 2013. Eric is routinely thanked by customers for bringing their guitars back to life.
