To help celebrate Drum Month at Long & McQuade we are hosting a FREE drum tuning clinic at our Dartmouth location.

Our resident drum expert Nelson will cover the following topics:

• Basic and advanced drum tuning techniques and philosophies
• A tour of the various drum tuning tools and technology
• Proper drum head maintenance and replacement
• A discussion of drum head selection
• Snare drum wire installation and setting
• Much more including DOOR PRIZES!

 

Djembe Clinic with Dr. Henry Bishop
History, Technique, Performance and More
Saturday, May 31 - 1 PM 
 

Topics will include:

• Brief overview of the Djembe, its history, and its role in music.
• Learn the basic bass, tone, and slap sounds
• Practice the correct hand positions for each sound
• Enjoy playing/practice time with other players
