Rob Tardik is a multi-award-winning guitarist and contemporary pop/jazz/world/fusion instrumental music artist who has performed at numerous prestigious venues across North America. His last six CDs have produced five U.S. Billboard charting singles, with two reaching the Top 10. Tardik's recent accolades include being a finalist in the 2019 International Songwriting Competition, winning the 2018 Established Solo Music Instrumental Mississauga Arts Award, and placing first in the 2017 International Acoustic Music Awards.

Did you know that musicians are four times more likely to develop hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) compared to non-musicians?  This applies to musicians in all genres of music from orchestral to rock. 

This talk will have 3 components:

  1. the auditory system and how we hear
  2. the risk of hearing loss in musicians and ways you can preserve your hearing
  3. various hearing aid and wireless microphone options available will allow you to continue to enjoy making music
