Barry James Payne is an award-winning musician and artist from Stratford who has performed in several projects, most notably alt-country/Americana band Barry James Payne & String Bone as well as his former Celtic-fusion group Rant Maggie Rant. He has been writing music, performing live and working in the music business for five decades.

Ukulele 101: Zero to Strumming

Ever thought about trying the ukulele? This workshop is hands on!  Expect to be making music in the first half hour, and that’s only the beginning.  You’ll get realistic advice about everything ukulele: gear, methods, lessons, repertoire, YouTube tutorials, chord charts, apps, theory, reading tabs and music notation the pros and cons of each.

We have a limited number of ukuleles available.

Doug Peterman has at various times been a naval officer, furniture maker and teacher. He remains an active creator, educator and performer.  He’s currently recovering from the shock of realizing he’s been playing ukulele for over 50 years.
