Jeff Towers is a veteran of the Canadian punk rock scene. He brings 30+ years of playing experience and 14+ years of running a drum shop. He has played in many Calgary-based punk and hardcore bands like Hiatus, Trauma, Closure, Even Your Odd, Stonehocker, Middle-Class, Bad Habits Die Hard, as well as various Roots & Country bands like Son of Ray, The Frontiers, Josh Dillon Band and more.

Join us for a high-energy vocal performance clinic designed for singers of all ages and levels who want to level up their stage presence and performance skills.

In this supportive, masterclass-style setting, you’ll gain practical tools to conquer nerves, develop stronger stage presence, and create meaningful audience connection, all while receiving personalized, constructive feedback you can immediately apply to your next recital, audition, or festival.

This clinic is led by Long and McQuade voice and piano instructor Skylar Sabasch. Skylar is a teacher and active performer who holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Education in secondary music from the University of British Columbia. She has performed throughout North America and Europe in both choral and solo settings. Skylar is passionate about helping singers build healthy technique and a confident, expressive stage presence.

Justin Arndt is the former guitar repair technician at the Long & McQuade Red Deer location and is currently a guitar technician and luthier in the Edmonton area. He has set up countless guitars and loves the balance of art and science in the discipline.
