With its signature green and chrome die-cast casing, the 520DX "Green Bullet" holds a spot in history as the definitive blues harp voice.

The 520DX features a volume control knob at the base of the microphone that allows users to make adjustments to suit their needs during live performance. An attached cable with a standard 1/4-inch plug allows the microphone to be connected to a high-impedance device. Contoured to fit perfectly between harmonica and hands, it can also be used for distinct, lo-fi vocals.
520DX includes attached cable

I've been using the Apex harp mic from L&M for some time, but decided to try out the classic green bullet. It's heavier than the Apex, but rock solid and feels very natural in the hand. I'm still a little dubious about the hardwired cable, but all the reviews seem to agree that it's very durable, and it seems very solid. The sound is classic Chicago blues and sounds great with a bit of fuzz through my Pignose amp.

Rock solid construction, easy to hold in spite of the extra wieght, and even plugged straight into a Pignose amp delivers that raunchy legendary Chicago blues growl. Toss in a decent delay pedal (fan of the Flashback Mini) and a decent fuzz pedal (even a check Behringer will do, and you've got yourself hours of non-stop wailing fun. My only apprehension is the hardwired patch cable, but if features a sturdy constriction and my research indicates it's relatively an easy repair/replace job should problems develop, with wiring diagrams induced. Overall, the best harp mic i've ever used. Much more raunchy that the Apex APEX327 which I've found is better for straight harp accompanying.

I don't have big hands like Sonny boy did. So this Bullet takes some getting use to. But you do get the Southern tremolo, it's nice. When you are in the groove be careful of the volume dial. They should of left that to the board man.
