If you're relying on getting sound out of your laptop by plugging into the headphone jack, QUIT THAT you neandertal buy this product.
If you're trying to produce music, you already know this thing is NOT for you.
But if you want 2 channels of record (typically used stereo) to record any 2 channel or stereo source, even a old pre-ampless turntable if you choose the right variant of this product. Then this is it for you ... and ... Mr. DJ ... if you use this external soundcard as your answer you will also be able to plug your headphones back into your headphone jack and preview/cue/mix music in them .... double win !!!
I've used a couple in the mobile DJ business for years, they are durable, reliable and run on native drivers.
You don't have to load even one piece of extra software on a PC ... plug and play!
