Hassle-Free Return Policy

Products may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase/shipping date, provided they are in original condition and include all of the original accessories and packaging. Any items purchased as a Christmas gift after November 1st will be accepted for return until January 15th. 

Financed products and special orders will be subject to a restocking charge.

Any product exchanged or returned after 30 days will be subject to a restocking charge. Requests to return an item beyond 60 days from the date of purchase will also be subject to a restocking charge and any refund will be in the form of a Long & McQuade gift card.

Products with missing accessories or packaging, as well as products no longer in original condition, can still be exchanged or returned, with replacement costs and/or product devaluation taken into consideration. 

If your purchase included a free shipping allowance, that amount will be deducted from the amount being refunded unless you purchased shipping insurance. Shipping insurance is non-refundable. 

Our return policy is intended to support our customers’ investments and is not designed to function as a rental or trial program. While we have rental services available (https://www.long-mcquade.com/rentals/main/), Long & McQuade reserves the right to review return activity and may adjust the policy for customers whose account history indicates a pattern consistent with exploratory purchasing or short-term use. Such adjustments may include the application of a restocking fee on future returns, regardless of the time frame in which items are returned.

In these situations someone from store management will discuss the return policy on a go-forward basis and to ensure awareness of the available rental options. Our goal is to maintain your continued satisfaction; therefore, any policy adjustments are not permanent and can be reviewed and discussed with a Store Manager at any time.

Please note that if a product is found to be defective, we will always repair or exchange it at no charge during the applicable warranty period, regardless of any prior return policy adjustments or temporary arrangements.

 

Guide for Returning Product

Web store returns can be made at any of our retail locations across Canada, or be sent back directly to our distribution centre.  If you are returning your product to a store, please have your order number available for reference.

To help facilitate the return process, please ensure that:
  • The return form is completed and included
  • Product(s) is/are in original packaging and condition
  • All accessories and/or manuals/literature are included
  • Original shipping carton or alternate box is used for secure shipment of merchandise
