Commissioned by the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, this is the first of a set of two pieces for SATB divisi, piano, and optional clarinet. The texts are both Christina Rossetti poems. This setting flows gently in 3/4, "Come to me in the silence of the night". A lovely, lyrical piece with a piano part that is expertly conceived.
