Commissioned by the Winnepeg Philharmonic Choir, this is the second of a set of two pieces and the SSA(A), piano, and optional clarinet version (also available in SSATB, piano, and optional clarinet). There is a brief mezzo or treble solo in this movement. This Christina Rossetti text is touching and poignant, "When I am dead, my dearest, Sing no sad songs for me". A sad, ironic ("and if thou wilt, forget") and totally memorable piece.
