I've been using these strings on and off with my 000-18 and find they get better the older they get before they just die. I also use the 7100s as well and they sound great as soon as they are broken in and slowly degrade with time until they die.

Made the switch on my Yamaha AC1M and Composite Acoustics Cargo to soften some of the brightness in return for some low end punch. Easier on the fingers as well.
