For mouthpiece refacing one needs a VERY flat surface that a standard sheet of sandpaper can fit on well. This 10" by 12 3/8" thick refacing glass is perfect! A standard 8 1/2" x 11" piece of sandpaper fits like a glove!
Such a thick piece of glass is needed so the glass surface does not bend while refacing. The surface must remain perfectly flat.
