Limited Edition

Epiphone presents the Ltd. Ed. Casino Coupe, the legendary hollowbody reborn in an ES-339 body size. Available for a limited time in Ebony and Inverness Green color finishes only at select retailers. Visit your Authorized Epiphone Dealer for details.
The Casino Coupe is a compact "coupe"-sized version of the Epiphone Casino, the iconic hollowbody that for over 50 years has been a favorite of tone connoisseurs from Keith Richards to The Beatles to GRAMMY winner Gary Clark Jr. The new Ltd. Ed. Casino Coupe has all of the Casino's trademark features--from neck size to tone woods to pickups--but in a smaller "Coupe" size for easy travel.

Classic Casino Form
The Ltd. Ed. Casino Coupe features the familiar Casino profile but in a smaller body size similar to the ES-339 in an Ebony or Inverness Green color finish. The body and top are made from 5-layer laminated Maple with single layer ivory color binding on the top and back. The orange soundhole label has the same typeface and design as 60s-era vintage models and the white and black 3-layer pickguard gives the Casino Coupe a classic look. The Mahogany neck has single-ply ivory color binding. The Rosewood fingerboard has Pearloid "Parallelogram" Inlays and a 24.75" scale, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 1960's SlimTaper profile, and a 1.68" nut.

The Heart of the Casino, "dogear" P-90s
Like the original Casino, the Ltd. Ed. Casino Coupe has full-size, full power Epiphone "dogear" P-90s. The P-90 was first introduced by Gibson Brands in 1948 and is regarded by many as the most versatile and best sounding single coil pickup made. With a full rounded tone, the P-90 is the "all purpose" pickup, capable of sharp lead tones, clean rhythm punch, and gritty, easily controllable feedback. And combined with the pure hollowbody of the Coupe, a guitarist can achieve almost acoustic tones at low volume. Each pickup has individual volume and tone controls with Tom Hat knobs with metal inserts and pointers.

Hardware: The Ltd. Ed. Casino Coupe comes with nickel hardware including a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge with a Coupe Trapeze tailpiece and an Epiphone 1/4" heavy-duty output jack. The "Deluxe" machine heads have vintage style small metal buttons with a 14:1 ratio and are mounted on a Sloped Dovewing headstock that has a 14 degree angle like 60s era models. The truss rod cover has a classic "Bullet" shape with the "E" in white silkprint.

I bought this guitar through the web store without having touched it. I was a bit nervous about many things, but there were no problems. The guitar arrived mint and I love to play it. This guitar is very playable. I couldn't believe how good it played right out of the box. I've got 8 or 9 guitars in my collection and I must have had 30 or 40 over the years. This is my first hollow electric. My main guitar is an old Gibson Les Paul special. The neck is great. It's a 'Gibson 60s slim taper C'. It's not as slim as I was expecting, certainly not fat, but actually pretty near perfect for my taste. The finger board is rosewood, but very hard, or so it seems. A small amount of black die comes off the fret board for the first few cleanings. The frets are robot perfect. The raw volume is pretty good and projects well. The actual acoustic sound is pleasing and not thin. It's great for picking up and playing in a room without an amp and without worry of people in the next room. This Casino in 'coupe' size is what I would call the perfect sit down and just play guitar. The construction and finish are flawless. I would sacrifice cows and chickens if the finish could be nitro instead of poly, but - price point. The same feeling with the electronics. Everything works, but I feel that I can upgrade the pots and put in some Gibson factory p90s at some point. The Epi p90s are good, but a bit woolly and hot. The tuners look kind of too vintage, but they function well and hold tune so far. All of my mild concerns (other than nitro finish) are things that I can swap out myself over time and still come in under budget. The wood and construction are spot on, the sound and play-ability are excellent, the price point is attractive. I am very happy with this addition to the family. Thanks to L&M for making this guitar available and for making everything easy and painless. Over the 30 years that I have been buying guitars from L&M they have earned my respect like no other. I can't recommend these guys enough.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
