Welcome to Dartmouth's largest music lesson centre located at 124 Main street, Dartmouth. We offer 15 spacious studios in house and our very own recital room. Our studios are equipped with state of the art keyboards and acoustic upright pianos as well as a Yamaha Concert Grand. We offer lessons in violin, viola, cello, all woodwind and brass, all styles piano, guitar (electric and acoustic), banjo, ukulele, bodhran, percussion and drumset.

Alison Enriquez (Ali) is a Cuban-Canadian multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Her genres range from deep classical roots to jazz, latin, R&B, pop and fusion. She’s played in stages around Canada, Cuba and Italy. (ex. Romerías de Mayo, Cuba - Halifax Jazz Festival, Canada- Ravello Music Fest, Italy - etc). With 15+ years of classical training under her wing (violin), she then studied music at Dalhousie University and is currently pursuing a popular music diploma at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), allowing her to make a greater focus on her main interests: creating and educating. Alison has been a teacher at Andrea’s Music Studio since October of 2021 (violin, piano and vocals) and is now teaching violin at Long and Mcquade!

Ben Lafitte is a guitar, piano, bass player, and songwriter, with close to a decade of musical experience. He recently completed the NSCC Music Arts program, majoring on the guitar. There, he studied theory, songwriting, and performance, while receiving individual guitar lessons. His teaching style is flexible and emphasizes the importance of finding a balance needed for each student to be engaged and having fun with the music, while also building up a strong foundation of necessary skills. He mainly specializes in rock, jazz, and funk styles, but is happy to work with musicians with any background, experience level, and musical preference. Ben is $25 per half hour lesson.

Blake Johnston is a guitarist/singer songwriter/producer with 27 years experience playing guitar and 20 years experience gigging and writing songs.
He has played on and produced several Music Nova Scotia and ECMA nominated albums, as well as taking home an ECMA for 2022 Blues Recording of the year for Campbell and Johnston's Black Market Band of which he is one half of. Blake is proficient in the genres of Rock, Blues, Soul, Country and teaches slide guitar as well as introduction into open tunings.

Serkan is a session musician and a drum teacher in Halifax, NS. For over 25 years he has been playing and teaching percussion. He completed the Specialist Drummer Certification Program from Berklee College of Music in 2014. He has written 3 drum books which were published by Fundamental Changes, England: Rock Drumming for Beginners (2017), Drum Rudiments & Musical Application (2017) and 200 Paradiddle Exercises for Drums (2018). Over the last few years, he has been recording and performing with various artists such as Campbell & Johnston’s Band, Charlie A’court, Dan Doiron, Superfluid Collective and Tyler Mullendore. After falling in love with the fiddle at age six, Shannon has been working as a professional
musician for over twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Music from Humber College as
well as completing her RCM Grade 9 exam in classical violin and Grade 8 RCM Piano exam.
She toured for several years as a fiddler with multiple groups and artists including Joel
Plaskett, The Paul McKenna Band, Lennie Gallant, Jimmy Rankin among others. Shannon has
also recorded several studio albums which have garnered national award recognition including
multiple wins from Music Nova Scotia, and multiple nominations from the ECMA’s and
Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Shannon has been a music educator for the past 15 years in Nova Scotia and Toronto. In 2018
she took a group of young fiddlers to participate in the renowned Willie Clancy Summer
School, in County Clare, Ireland, and in 2019 she was the recipient of Music Nova’s ‘Educator
of the Year’ award.
Shannon has a strong passion for youth music education, and believes the top focus points
should be fun and comfort, playable tunes, and becoming familiar with patterns and sight
reading. There should be a strong emphasis on learning rhythm, and finding your own voice
with your instrument.

Originally educated on the piano, Yousef picked up the guitar at the age of eleven and has since been performing the guitar in the Halifax area solo and with multiple bands and groups. In 2010, he was awarded King’s View Academy’s Excellence in Fine Arts Award. While at Berklee, he studied under jazz/rock/blues guitarists Tom Miller, Tomo Fujita, and Jack Pezanelli. He also studied video game composition with Duncan Watts, composer of Bioshock: Infinite and League of Legends. Yulia graduated with Honours from the Zaporozshky State Music College in the Ukraine and worked as a piano teacher and children’s choir director while taking courses at the Harkov Institute for Music and Arts there. In 2000 she taught piano for the New Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and in 2002 and 2003 was named teacher of the year.
