Yamaha's Billy Cobham Signature produces tone that's loved by its namesake. This 14 x 6" shell delivers a tone that is warm with excellent sustain. This snare is fitted with an all-maple, 19-ply wood hoop that maximizes the natural sound of the shell while delivering fat, powerful rimshots.

An H-type strainer is used on the release side while Yamaha's G-type strainer is used on the butt side. Both strainers offer minimum strainer to shell contact for smooth, easy operation. Each strainer is fitted with a snare guide to hold the extra long snares precisely in place. The 20-strand, hi-carbon snares are extra long and offer full contact over the entire width of the head creating an extremely versatile drum.

To get the most sound out of the shell possible, small lugs are incorporated due to their minimum lug to shell contact. Bolts attach to a precision-machined lug nut inside the casing for superior performance.
