The American SL3's alder body is paired with a three-piece maple neck that enhances resonance and features a pair of graphite bracing rods for ultimate stability to resist temperature and humidity-induced flex and warping. With 24 wide frets and inverted shark-fin mother-of-pearl inlays, the 12-16 inch compound radius ebony fingerboard with rounded edges is designed for highly technical, slower-speed playing. More curved at the nut for comfortable tuning, it flattens towards the top of the neck for increasingly faster playing and fret-free bends. Luminlay phosphorescent side dots provide exceptional fingerboard guidance, even on the darkest stages, while a heel-mounted truss rod tension knob allows for quick adjustments to the neck relief.

The HSS pickup configuration features a set of versatile Seymour Duncan pickups that deliver a powerful tonal character. The Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge pickup roars like a race car with powerful low end, while the Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single-coil middle pickup and the Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 neck pickup radiate with crystal-clear highs and scooped mids that perform well in a multitude of genres. Harness the sonic power with a versatile five-way pickup selector and unique volume and tone controls. Other premium features include a Floyd Rose 1500 Series dual-locking tremolo bridge system for reliable tuning stability during bold and powerful playing, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.

Designed in Jackson's signature metal style, the Soloist SL3 from the American series is offered in Gloss Black, Platinum Pearl, Riviera Blue and Satin Slime Green finishes, with a matching Jackson pointed head and black hardware.
