Description
This original 1969 kit is a rare and beautiful find! The silver sparkle on the bass and floor tom has aged into a beautiful, root beer sparkle.
To add to the rarity, the inside of the floor tom was also painted, often not found on the Standard line! Also, the original reso head is still on the bass drum.
The whole kit is 3-ply mahogany with a center ply of poplar, with maple re-rings. Born together are the 20x14 & 14x14 both having date stamps of February 10, 1969.
Added to the 20x14 & 14x14, is a 12x8 tom in gold strata - a rare finish only found on the Standard line - which pulls colours from the bass drum & floor tom.
All the hardware on the kit works great and includes a vintage L-arm to attach a ride cymbal to.
