The 52nd Street saxophone is an ushering back to the vintage era with a classically styled instrument with the modern engineering for todays players.
This instrument is equipped with rolled tone holes and a larger bell offering a sound that compares to the great saxophone models of the 20th century. The Eastman saxophones are renowned for being incredibly responsive throughout the entire range of the instrument. The ease of connection from the bottom to the top while keeping a stable timbre and without compromising the precise intonation has earned the 52nd Street horns a considerable reputation from saxophone players of all varieties.
The 652 comes with two necks. The "S" (Street) neck is designed to deliver a dark and full tone with a softer mellow edge. The "M" (Mintzer) neck was designed in collaboration with acclaimed saxophonist Bob Mintzer and is fine tuned towards an open free-blowing sound with an explosive quality fit for those seeking a brighter, explosive sound.
This instrument is finished in an aged unlacquered brass, furthering its relationship to the vintage style.
