The Besson Sovereign series are some of the most legendary instruments found in the arsenals of orchestras around the world. Dating back to the mid 1970s, instruments like this euphonium are what built Bessons irrefutable dominance over European brass culture.

The Sovereign euphoniums are slightly lighter than many other comparable euphoniums, including Bessons Prestige line, and offer a open, free blowing sound. The immediacy of their response despite being a .590" large-bore 4-valved instrument is what appeals to the many musicians looking for a professional concert euphonium.

The 967 variation is equipped with a 12" bell, offering a larger sound with greater projection compared to the alternative 11" option. The silver-plated finish offers a sophisticated look while offering an edge of brightness to the overall timbre of the instrument.
